Die lange lange Luftmaschen-Grundkette und wie man sich verz\u00e4hlen darf<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Wird eine sehr lange Luftmaschen-Grundkette ben\u00f6tigt, st\u00f6\u00dft man unweigerlich an unvorhergesehene Grenzen.<\/p>\n

\u201cAller Anfang ist schwer\u201d<\/strong>\u2026
\nDer Anfang jeglicher H\u00e4kelarbeit ist entweder in Runden gearbeitet z.B. in einen Magischen Ring, in Reihen gearbeitet\u00a0 eine Grundkette aus Luftmaschen (auch Luftmaschen-Anschlag genannt) oder Luftmaschenlos mit einer Anschlagskette aus festen Maschen, halben oder einfachen St\u00e4bchen. Letztere hat sch\u00f6n den \u201eStretch\u201c und sollte bei Kleidungsst\u00fccken zum Einsatz kommen.<\/p>\n

Bei langen Lm-Grundketten ist die Problematik, dass man sich entweder verz\u00e4hlt oder eine Masche ist schlecht gearbeitet und wird irgendwie \u00fcbersehen.<\/p>\n

Man kann sich nat\u00fcrlich mit Maschenmarkierer helfen.
\nBeispiel:<\/span> Bei einer 318 Lm langen Kette, k\u00f6nnte man in jede 50. Lm einen Markierer setzen. Beim R\u00fcckh\u00e4keln (mit 1 Wende-Lm), z.B. mit festen Maschen, m\u00fcsste man dann bis Ende genau auf 318 fM kommen. Doch trotz der eleganten Markierer-L\u00f6sung \u00fcberspringt man vielleicht doch eine zerfetzte Masche und kommt ins Trudeln. Am Ende fehlen pl\u00f6tzlich Maschen und nicht selten schleudert man sein Werk w\u00fctend in die Ecke.<\/p>\n

In alten Handarbeitsb\u00fcchern wird empfohlen die Luftmaschen-Grundkette mit einem Extra-Kn\u00e4ul Garn zu h\u00e4keln, um dann die weiteren Reihen mit einem neuen Kn\u00e4ul weiter zu arbeiten.<\/p>\n

\nEinfacher ist folgende Methode:<\/span>
\n1)<\/strong> Starte mit der langen Lm-Grundkette und addiere zu Deinen Lm ca. 10 – 15 Lm dazu.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Den Anfangsknoten nicht fest zuziehen!<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Im Foto-Beispiel links sind 6 Lm \u00fcber.
\nDieses „Schw\u00e4nzchen“ links liegenlassen und die Reihen nach der H\u00e4kelanleitung weiterarbeiten.<\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> Die magische H\u00e4kelfee k\u00f6nnte den Knoten locker l\u00f6sen. Du nimmst daf\u00fcr eine Nadel und ribbelst den Knoten auf. Also: zuerst den Knoten l\u00f6sen, dann die letzten Lm bis Ende aufpfriemeln …<\/p>\n

5)<\/strong> … dann sauber und sicher vern\u00e4hen.
\nDer kleine Trick ist kaum sichtbar!<\/p>\n

If you need a very long foundation chain, you will inevitably come up against unforeseen limits.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll beginnings are difficult\u201d<\/strong>\u2026
\nThe beginning of any crochet work is worked either in rounds, e.g. in a Magic Ring, in rows, a foundation chain of chain stitches or a chainless foundation with single crochet, half double crochet or double crochet stitches. The latter has a nice „stretch“ and should be used for garments.<\/p>\n

With long foundation chains, the problem is that either you have miscounted or any chains got so mangled you couldn\u00b4t work into them. Stitch markers can help you keep count.
\n
\nExample: <\/span>With ch318, you could place a marker in every 50th ch. When crocheting back (with 1 turning chain of course), e.g. with single crochet stitches, you should now have exactly 318 sc at the end of the row. However, despite the elegant marker solution, you might still skip a bad stitch and floundered. In the end, stitches are suddenly missing and it is not uncommon to throw your work angrily into the corner.<\/p>\n

Old needlework books recommend crocheting the foundation chain with an extra skein of yarn and then continuing to work the other rows with a new.<\/p>\n

\nThe following method is simpler:<\/span>
\n1)<\/strong> Start with the long foundation chain and add
\napprox. 10 – 15 ch.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Don\u00b4t pull the starting knot tight.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Example pic left: you have 6 chains left over.
\nDrop this tail and continue working more rows.<\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> The magic crochet fairy could easily undo the knot. To do this, take a needle and unravel the knot. So: first undo the knot, then frog the remaining chains until you reach the first stitch …<\/p>\n

5)<\/strong> … weave in and secure the tail neatly. Well done!
\nThe little trick is barely visible.<\/p>\n
