Topflappen sind die H\u00e4kelklassiker schlechthin.
\nJeder, der sich mit H\u00e4keln besch\u00e4ftigt, hat sicherlich schon einmal so ein n\u00fctzliches L\u00e4ppchen f\u00fcr die K\u00fcche gewerkelt.
\nPotholders are the crochet classics par excellence.
\n<\/em>Everyone who is engaged in crochet has certainly already crafted such a useful lappet for the kitchen.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So ein Topflappen muss ja einiges aushalten, wenn ein st\u00e4ndiger Einsatz von ihm verlangt wird.
\nEr sollte hohen Temperaturen standhalten k\u00f6nnen, also recht hitzebest\u00e4ndig sein. Garne mit synthetischen Fasern sollten nicht bevorzugt werden, da diese schmelzen k\u00f6nnen. Baumwolle ist gut. Es gibt sie in vielen Varianten: reine Baumwolle oder Baumwollmischungen, feine, starke oder auch \u00f6kologische Qualit\u00e4ten, in Uni oder effektvollen Farbverl\u00e4ufen. F\u00fcr den K\u00fccheneinsatz solltest Du reine Baumwolle w\u00e4hlen, die mind. waschbar bei 60\u00b0C sein sollte.<\/p>\n

Such a potholder must withstand quite a bit, if constant use is required of him. It should be able to withstand high temperatures, i.e. be quite heat-resistant. <\/em>Yarns with synthetic fibers should not be preferred, because they can melt. <\/em>Cotton is good. It comes in many varieties: pure cotton or cotton blends, fine, strong or even ecological qualities, in plain or effective color gradients. For kitchen use you should choose pure cotton, which should be washable at least at 60\u00b0C\/140\u00b0F<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Was unterscheidet den K\u00dcCHENGRIFFI von einem herk\u00f6mmlichen Topflappen?<\/strong>
\nEr ist ein Zwischending von Topflappen und Ofenhandschuh … so ein Topflappen zum Reingreifen halt … Mein Mann nannte ihn fr\u00fcher (ja, in der Bidder\u00b4schen K\u00fcche gibt es diese Griffis schon echt lang ;-)) immer Pottpacker oder Pottschnapper, bis sich der Griffi etablierte. Er ist unglaublich handlich. Nicht so gro\u00df wie ein Handschuh, aber auch sehr hitzebest\u00e4ndig durch den doppeltgeh\u00e4kelten Boden.<\/p>\n

What distinguishes the KITCHENGRIFFI from a conventional potholder?<\/span>
\n<\/em>It is an in-between of potholder and oven mitt … a potholder for grabbing …
\nMy hubby called him in the past (Yeah, in the Bidder’s kitchen there are these Griffis really long ;-)) always potpacker or potsnapper, until the Griffi established itself.
\nIt is incredibly handy. Not as big as a mitt, but also very heat resistant due to the double crocheted bottom.
\n<\/em><\/span>NOTE: GRIFFI is the minimization of the German word\/verb GREIFEN, and means to grab\/pinch something. However, this word doesn\u2019t exist in German usage, but is just a pun of mine.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"F\u00fcr die fr\u00fchlingshafte Farbaktion bei Crazypatterns<\/strong> waren 4 Farben festgelegt, die hier in der Eule perfekt zum Einsatz kommen: rot<\/span> \u2013 orange<\/span> \u2013 gr\u00fcn<\/span> & blau<\/span>.<\/strong>
\nMeine Garnempfehlung<\/span>: Scheepjes Cahlista. (Das ist meine pers\u00f6nliche Meinung, die nicht bezahlt worden ist!<\/em>) Ich bin immer ganz begeistert von dieser immensen Farbpalette und der matten Farbkraft. Zudem ist es waschbar bei 60\u00b0C, was ich immer sehr wichtig finde. Es ist auch nicht stark wie Schultopflappengarn gezwirnt, sondern etwas gefachter. Und es gibt die gleichen Farbt\u00f6ne auch in der merzerisierten Baumwolle von Scheepjes Catona mit den gel\u00e4ufigen 50g\/125m Laufl\u00e4nge.
\nEin K\u00dcCHENGRIFFI wird mit der H\u00e4kelnadel 5mm gearbeitet und ist fertig ca. \u00d811cm gro\u00df. <\/strong>Perfekt auch f\u00fcr M\u00e4nnerh\u00e4nde \ud83d\ude09<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the spring color campaign at Crazypatterns 4 colors were specified, which are used perfectly here in the owl: red – orange – green & blue. My yarn recommendation: Scheepjes Cahlista. (This is my personal opinion, which has not been paid for!) I am always quite thrilled with this immense color palette and the matte color strength. Plus, it’s washable at 60\u00b0C\/140\u00b0F, which I always find very important. It’s also not heavily twisted like conventional potholder yarn, but a bit more plied. <\/em>And the same shades are also available in the mercerized cotton of Scheepjes Catona with the common 50g (1.76oz.)\/125m (136 yds.) yardage. A KITCHENGRIFFI is worked with the hook EU 5mm \u2013 US H\/8\u00a0 and is finished about \u00d811cm\/4.3\u201c. Perfect also for men’s hands \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Ein schlichtes Aufh\u00e4ngeb\u00e4ndchen aus Lm vervollst\u00e4ndigt das Eulchen. Wer mag kann dieses auch in Gr\u00fcn h\u00e4keln, evtl. noch mit einem Blatt oder einer kleinen Bl\u00fcte verziert.
