Der magische Abschluss … so nenn ich ihn.
Recht unschön empfinde ich oft die schließende Kettmasche an Steigungs-Lm (Ersatz z.B. für ein Stäbchen), damit eine gehäkelte Runde geschlossen wird.
Genial ist der “magische” Abschluss einer Runde. Hier wird auf einfache Art und Weise eine “gefakte” Masche über die erste Masche einer Runde gelegt. Nicht alle Fakes sind also unangenehm

I often find the closing slip stitch on beginning chains (e.g. ch3 as replacement for dc) quite unattractive, so that a crocheted round is closed.
Ingenious is the “magic” join of a round. Here, a “fake” stitch is placed over the first stitch of a round in a simple way. So not all fakes are unpleasant

16 Stäbchen (Stb.) sollen in der Runde geschlossen werden. Das erste Stäbchen ist als 3erSteigungs-Lm gehäkelt.
1) Die Maschen 1 -2 und 3 werden nun von unserer Häkelfee “magisch” geschlossen. In der letzten Masche (hier das 16.Stb.) endet die Runde. Faden abschneiden und in eine Nadel fädeln.
2) Gehe mit Nadel/Faden durch die beiden Maschenglieder (vorne/hinten) der 3.Masche. Ziehe den Faden komplett nach hinten durch, dann gehe zurück nach vorne und überspringe die 2. Masche (die 3erLm/Ersatz Stb.) 3) dann steche in die 1.Masche ein, aber nehme hier nur das hintere Maschenglied (hMgl.) auf. 4) Hinter dem hMgl. liegt noch eine kleine Schlaufe, auch die mit der Nadel schnappen und Faden durchziehen. 5) verwebe den Faden nach links auf der RS, dann abschneiden. Faden nicht zu stark anziehen, sonst wird die Fake-Masche vorne zu klein 6) Perfekter Rand … 1 -2 -3 … wie Zauberei … sooo magic 
Diese magische Randabschuss-Art lässt sich auch auf viele andere Maschen anwenden.
Nur bei Km ist die “Magie” nicht ganz so perfekt.

16 double crochet stitches (dc)
are to be closed in round. ch3 as a replacemnt for the first dc.
1) The stitches 1 -2 and 3 are now “magically” closed by our crochet fairy. The round ends in the last stitch (here the 16th dc). Cut yarn and thread a needle. 2) Go with needle/thread through the two loops (front/back) of the 3. stitch. Pull the thread completely through to the back, then go back to the front and skip stitch 2 (ch3-replacement/dc) 3) insert now in the 1. stitch, but pick up only the back stitch loop (BLO).
4) There is a small loop behind, also snap this with the needle and pull the thread through;
5) weave the thread to the left on the WS, then cut. Don’t tighten thread too much or fake stitch will be too small in front 6) Perfect edge…. 1 -2 -3 magic
This invisible edge join can be applied to many other stitches in rounds as well.
Only with slst the “magic” is not quite so perfect.
