Der Name meines neuen Tuchdesigns entstand, als ich während des Häkelns, entspannte Musik auf YouTube hörte und plötzlich zufällig ein schönes Lied abgespielt wurde. Ong namo guru dev namo. Ein Mantra.

Gesungen von drei Frauen: Mon Yoga Virtuel nach einer Version von Snatam Kaur.
Und je mehr ich am Tuch häkelte und in die Musik eintauchte, umso mehr flossen meine Gedanken. Entspannung pur. Picots, Stäbchen, Vorderseite, Rückseite, Vorderseite … ein fließender Wechsel.

PICOTONG wird aus 2 Bobbels gleichzeitig und gegenspielend gehäkelt.
Du benötigt eine Unifarbe und ca. 1/3 davon sollte ein Farbverlaufsgarn sein. Am Rand kann man optional noch eine helle Reihe als Gegenpol zum immer dunkler werdenden Ende setzen.
Streifenblöcke frischen das Muster auf.
Picotong ist einfach zu häkeln.
Jedoch ist der Schwierigkeitsgrad etwas erhöht, da Du die Wechsel von Vorder- und Rückseite beachten musst.
Dazu gibt es ein Kontrollblatt zum Abhaken im PDF.
Häkelschriften, Fotos auch inkl. Häkelsymbole, sowie Workshops sind bei mir selbstverständlich.

Picots waren Mitte/Ende des 19.Jhs. en vogue, als die Irische Spitze ihren Erfolgskurs nahm. Gehäkelte florale Objekte wie Rosen, Blätter, Klee, etc. wurden durch Picot-Netze zusammengehalten. Die kleinen Luftmaschen-Gebilde zauberten eine zarte Leichtigkeit in die Designs. Kostbar waren diese Stücke.

Die Picotong-Picots leiten im Tuch das Farbspiel ein. Sie werden mit einem Farbverlaufs-Bobbel gehäkelt. Im Kontrast dazu die Streifen in Uni Anthrazit. Das Muster bietet somit viele Farbkompositions-Möglichkeiten.

The name of my new shawl design came about when I was listening to relaxing music on YouTube while crocheting and suddenly a beautiful song started playing. Ong namo guru dev namo. A mantra. Sung by three women: Mon Yoga Virtuel based on a version by Snatam Kaur.
And the more I crocheted on the shawl and immersed myself in the music, the more my thoughts flowed. Pure relaxation. Picots, double crochet stitches, front, back, front … a flowing change.

Picotong is crocheted from 2 yarn cakes (german: bobble) at the same time and in opposite directions.
You need a plain color and approx. 1/3 of it should be a gradient yarn.
You can optionally add a light row at the edge as a counterpoint to the increasingly darker end.
Stripe blocks freshen up the pattern.
Picotong is easy to crochet.
However, the level of difficulty is somewhat higher as you have to pay attention to the alternation of Front and Wrong Side. There is also a control sheet to tick off in the PDF.
Crochet instructions, photos including crochet symbols and workshops are a matter of course for me.

Picots were en vogue in the middle/end of the 19th century when Irish lace took off. Picot nets held crocheted floral objects such as roses, leaves, clover, etc. together. The small chain structures conjured up a delicate lightness in the designs. These pieces were precious.

The Picotong picots introduce the play of colors in the shawl. They are crocheted with a color gradient yarn cake. The stripes in plain anthracite contrast with this. The pattern therefore offers many color composition options.
